Can I buy footwear directly from SAS?

At SAS Shoemakers, we do not sell our products online and we also ask independent retailers not to do so.  We feel our customers deserve the personal attention that only a knowledgeable shoe fitter can provide. Authorized SAS retailers can be found by searching our retail locator map.

Why should I purchase my SAS shoes through an authorized SAS dealer?

SAS works closely with its dealers to ensure customer satisfaction. An authorized SAS dealer will be able to provide assistance should you have a concern with your footwear purchase. We feel our customers deserve the personal attention that only a knowledgeable shoe fitter can provide.  Since our feet tend to change in shape and size as we get older, we recommend having your feet measured every time you purchase new shoes. Therefore, we limit our dealers to established shoe stores.  We do not sell our products online and we ask our independent retailers not to do so.

Authorized SAS dealers can be found by searching our dealer locator map.
How can I order a particular style or size that my SAS Retailer doesn't carry?

Most of our Retailers participate in our special order program. If you have a specific request, please notify your Retailer and ask to place a special order. Should your local Retailer be unwilling or unable to order for you, give us a call and we'll do our best to get you the shoe you want.

How do SAS shoe sizes compare to European sizes?

Simply stated; " We don't!" At SAS Shoemakers, we believe the proper fit of a shoe is paramount to achieving maximum comfort. That's why we make 88 combinations of sizes and widths for women and 104 combinations of sizes and widths for men. Our engineers passionately pursue the art of crafting individual lasts to produce a near-custom fit experience. There are no European equivalents for these precise measurements. The European scale translates to a range of measurements that may span up to a 1 1/2 size difference depending upon the width of the foot. To experience SAS Comfort & Fit , please visit an authorized SAS Dealer.

How do I know if my favorite SAS shoe has been discontinued?

If your local authorized SAS Retailer does not have the style or color you want in stock, it may still be available. Most of our SAS styles stay around for many years and become wardrobe staples. However, it is necessary from time to time to discontinue a style or color in order to make room for fresh, new additions to our product line. To check on the availabilty of a style or color, you should view our Products & Styles page for our current line. Additionally, you may contact our Customer Service Department from our Contact Us page or by calling 877-782-7463.

I have a problem with the SAS shoes that I purchased on third-party auction site. Who do I contact?

We recommend that you contact the seller. Please note: SAS cannot assist with requests on purchases made through unauthorized dealers or third-party auction sites. Authorized SAS dealers can be found by searching our dealer locator map.

Does SAS offer a warranty?

We do guarantee our footwear from manufacturers' defects within a reasonable amount of time and wear. Normal or abnormal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturer's defect.

Can I use my custom orthotics?

SAS shoes are designed for comfort and fit. They are not specifically designed as orthopedic footwear. However, many of our styles have a removable foot bed, which may accommodate an orthotic or appliance. We always recommend trying on the shoes with your orthotic to ensure a proper fit.

How Do You Say SAS?

Some people like to spell it out, while others prefer to say SAS (sass).  SAS stands for San Antonio Shoes and we normally spell it out.  Our company name may be pronounced either way you prefer.  How our customers say our name is not as important to us as how they enjoy the comfort of our shoes.
