Shoes are low on the list of concerns for folks in north Texas after tornadoes ripped through their area just days after Christmas. However, as survivors sift through bits and pieces that were once their homes and belongings, supportive shoes are a necessity. It just so happens SAS has some to spare.

SAS volunteers packed up 3,000 pair of shoes in the Comfort and Support truck Thursday, Dec. 29th and headed out to Garland, TX. Friday and Saturday the crew sets up at the Granger Community Center to fit anyone there in need of a pair of durable comfort shoes. Folks in Garland to get the opportunity to sit for a moment and get fitted properly for a high-quality pair of shoes. They also get a chance to share a moment with someone who cares and maybe even get a hug if needed.

Folks on our team say the experience is priceless as they get to help people worry a little bit less as they get back on their feet.
