I wanted a pair of slip on walking shoes to replace a pair from a different company that I've had for around 10 years. These don't slip on as easily as I would have hoped, but I suspect that they just need a little breaking in. They are solidly built, which I like.
I'm not one to buy shoes online,... because when I try shoes on at the store they mostly don't fit. My foot is a 12E. Standard size at the store is a D, so most shoes feel tight. I have to buy one that fits wide or find one at the store that comes in a wide, but not extra wide.
So, I was hesitant to buy any shoe online. However, since these came in different widths, I thought that if I got exactly my size, I might not have a problem. I ordered a 12E. The shoe feels a little long for a size 12. I measured the sole against a couple of other shoes, and it seems longer than it should be. At the same time, it's a bit narrower than I expected towards the toe area (but not any where else), at least on the right foot.
After wearing them for a few weeks, they are about as acceptable as most shoes that I buy. They basically fit and don't hurt, but are tight around the right toes. Because of that, I wouldn't buy them again.
Also, they don't seem to breathe as well as I expected. But, they are built like they will last a decade.

Good Fit/Bad Brown
I have a narrow foot and the 10N fit correctly...though I used a thinner sock than normal for the first time worn. Confident further use can be with regular thicker socks.
Brown color reminded me of some digestive color. However I didn't return because I know how to gradually modify color with use ...of appropriate polishes...After 2 coats of a Dark Chili polish, color was already significantly better. By the way, I usually use 2 coats of water repellant spray before any wearing on polishing of tan or brown shoes. This prevents permanent stain if ifood drops on shoe while eating.(and the way I eat, this is a definite possibility)

I very much like this shoe

I have several pair of SAS shoes and will continue to purchase them. I've had a few that I didn't like the fit and some athletic shoes that the soles came unglued but overall I am convinced they are the best shoes made in America. This loafer has a nice soft inner sole that is comfortable to stand in. Being a well-fed big guy with 12 wide flat feet, it's hard to find something comfortable but the width of these and the softness of the inner sole have made these my go to church choice. I always choose black and will be ordering another pair to ensure I have a backup.

Comments about Step Menโs Slip On Loafer - Crow
So far I am very pleased with the comfort and quality of the Step Men's Slip on Loafer, but I have only worn them a few times. However, based on several previous purchases of SAS shoes, I expect to be very pleased with this pair of shoes.

I wouldn't recommend this shoe

This looked similar to the clog which is supremely comfortable. However, these are very narrow and not comfortable at all. My feet ached after wearing them. I would not recommend and own a variety of SAS Shoes.

Slip on Aden?
Submitted 3 years ago

I was hoping this would just be a slip-on Aden, but nowhere near that. Compared to the Aden this feels smaller in width and size, even though I ordered the same size. Never in my life have I had to break in a pair of shoes like this, after a month of wearing these to work on a daily basis, they are just an uncomfortable pair of shoes. I was hoping to basically get a slip-on Aden since we live more Asain style (shoes off at the door) but that will not be the case, looks like I'll be going back to laces with the Aden.

I would not purchase this particular model as my ankle hits the side of the shoe when I walk. Even though it has some cushion, it friction against my uncle causes it to hurt. That's never happened before with other SAS shoes. Not sure how these are different.

Comments about Step Slip On Loafer
The Shoe is Great, I wear them down because they feel good. My wife and I have been wearing SAS shoes for a long time, problem is that they don't have a store where I live and this makes for a true fitting. I ordered the size that I usually get, but when I chose WIDE, this changed the actual fit; it was at least 2 inches too long. Now I know exactly what size to get in WIDE. Do not trust the online references for measuring your foot to get your shoe size, this doesn't work. I still love the shoe, regardless.

Not same fit as my many other SAS shoes

I must say, I'm rather disappointed with the fit of these shoes. The toe box is much smaller or shorter than usual. Although I ordered a double wide, I still had to stretch the width of the shoes. They have also required a break-in period of about three months to finally start feeling OK. The shoe last is very stiff.
I've never had either of these problems with any SAS shoes before. Until now, I've always found SAS shoes to be very comfortable and a pleasure to wear. Although I'm very pleased with the look of the new shoe designs, I hope that fit and comfort are not sacrificed as they seen to have been with this design.
